Etchings

Working in America, Europe and Latin America.

Claude's etching subjects ranged from animals and people to boats, buildings and coastal scenes. Many of the Montgomery Christmas cards were often his etchings.

An etching of Ole’ Joe, a clam digger, won the Silver Medal in the Paris Exposition of 1937, fifty years after another Maine artist, Winslow Homer, captured the same award in 1887.
